How to remove CouponDropDown from a tumblr post on your blog
i was going through my old blog posts when i found a page infected with coupondropdown.
just one page. not my computer. not my browser.
i deleted all the application supports and reinstalled my browser trying to get rid of it even.
but then my friends found the same thing on that page. i checked my theme and disabled almost everything and that didn't work either.
turns out it was embedded in one of the posts. here's a step by step instruction on how to remove coupondropdown scripts embedded in a tumblr post:
isolate the post. if you are on a page of your blog with several posts, open all of them in new tabs until you find the one where ads appear. there may be more than one.
edit the post. but edit it in <html> view. the <html> option is on the top bar with the options to insert images and such.
remove any and all scripts in the post. they'll be in a <script> tag. they'll probably have a lot of garbage characters inside. be sure to remove the closing </script> tag too.
save the post. wait for the page to load to confirm that there are no more ads.
repeat for all affected posts.
you're done!

[So, I thought for a moment that Tumblr was doing obnoxious ads everywhere on the site, but then I realized that I actually had a virus on my computer because they were on Youtube, too.
Which means, now that I'm back, I actually managed to uninstall a virus from my computer in just a few minutes.]

I got back from vacation and Connecticon and turned my computer on for the first time in 2 weeks, and I find all these ads and shit by coupondropdown. It's really getting quite annoying how the fuck do I get rid of it????
