Gigs, news and new songs!
Hi folks,
We had a great gig the other day at a private party. Well, I say great gig, and it was in the end, but not before Russ got a sizeable electric shock!
The gig was at the bottom of a garden that sloped steeply downwards. The weather as we all know has been rather inclement lately, and it didn't stop for us that day either, so all the moisture trickled down the hill to our stage area. Electric + wet cables does not mix, and at one stage the entire rig was live. Not nice!
Our compromise was a makeshift set-up in their conservatory. We didn't sound check or anything because time was getting on, we just rocked out. And rock out we did! It went very well in the end, and we were very glad we could rescue the gig for our hosts. Positive feedback to the band was plentiful, and it was definitely one of those gigs we'll look back on and laugh at! (Well, maybe not Russ ...).
In other news, we're jamming some new songs soon. Some are a little out of our comfort/taste zone, but we want to bring in some different genres to vary up the set. This means a bit of dance and a bit of good ol' fashioned rock 'n roll! Typical Waiting for George ... always thinking of the audience! :)
We have a gig each month in the run up to the end of the year. We'll get the dates live ASAP.
