I couldn't be happier with how my process book turned out. It definitely feels like the best work I've produced at university so far. Very proud of myself.

PROCESS BOOK
Evaluation
Upon reflection of this unit, I’m really impressed with what I achieved. I am noticing vast improvement in my digital skills alongside my eye for design. Knowing that branding is the direction I want to take my career, I found using Adobe Dimensions really inspiring. I felt I could project my ideas onto a 3D model and make them come alive more. I am definitely going to use the programme again next year, as well as learn more and watch tutorials on how to get the maximum use out of the programme. Despite this, I feel I could’ve done more with my packaging designs and learnt how to make them completely digitally 3D, this could’ve been perfect for a promotional video as part of my brand.
I feel like my time management was lacking this term, and with more care taken I feel I could’ve produced more work and developed my ideas further. Overall, I’m extremely happy with my packaging designs and love how they turned out – I would’ve developed the social media content more and produced videos for the TikTok account as well as carousels for Instagram.
Following up on last terms feedback, I tried to cut down on the amount of text I put in my process book and only put relevant information in. I feel the book itself is image driven so a lot explains itself which I previously would’ve gone into a lot of detail about.
In terms of my process book, I tried to add more of myself into the design and avoid being too strict on colour placements. I feel this is best project I have done at university to date, and I am extremely pleased with my outcomes. I hope to continue this level of work next year.
PRESENTATION
I designed a brief example of what a website would appear like on an iPhone as that is where the majority of my audience will view the site. Featuring the three products the brand offers while also displaying the quote that remains consistent on all platforms. It is a simple layout and design since most of the branding is done via social media. Offering a discount to customers through the website is a good way to draw people into your product.
The Ladylike TikTok follows the same concept as the Instagram. Keeping a direct but light-hearted approach to the issue by appearing relatable and down to earth. Videos like ‘how to masturbate?’ is a big part of how the TikTok will inform and educate women on how to properly pleasure themselves. TikTok is the number one platform my target audience uses so utilising this app properly is crucial to growing the brand. The account will provide a safe space for women to educate themselves on the topic while unlearning stereotypical narratives.
The brand’s Instagram is extremely important when referring to identity. The traffic to the brand will come mainly from Instagram. I designed the feed to be a visual representation of the brand so that my audience gets an overall feel for the message and purpose. Bearing in mind that some of my audience may just follow for the tips and tricks or just for the aesthetic of the imagery. I have added story highlights for easy access to important elements of the brand, tips on masturbation and toys. Throughout my feed I have also added the content I created that includes type to inform my audience of ways to help themselves in the bedroom. Overall, the purpose of the Instagram is to display a vibrant and inviting approach to the topic of masturbation and address the subject as a casual thing and not such a taboo. Using language like ‘we wank too’ promotes the normalisation of the topic as well as showing the advocacy of the brand.
