Daisies Alongside Jacks Creek Trail, Cowles, New Mexico - 2 One of my favorite places to get away from it all is up in the mountains and mountain valleys by Cowles & Tererro, New Mexico and the surrounding Santa Fe National Forest including The Pecos Wilderness. As I am disabled this is ideal because you can drive up into the mountain valley and take short hikes like this on the Jacks Creek Trail. In August of 2019 the flora was particularly lush due to an unusually wet year (well wet for New Mexico at least). This caused wildflowers to bloom along the mountain trails. You can also see ponderosa pine and aspens along the hillside. I really hope to visit again this year along with other locations in northern New Mexico. I have included a collage of Google Earth views of the area the photo was taken.
