Today we stress cleaned for hours after distance learning, all 3 kids and I, then crated the puppies and hauled ass out of the house for a showing. Idk what it was but as soon as we were passing the cemetery I knew I needed to visit. Just then Lina, my 7 year old, said, “Look, that’s heaven. People go to that heaven to die....” and as she finished that sentence I pulled in and we slowly crept past the tombstones, with Miles (9yo) and I taking turns in the front seat reading and honoring those that passed. Gia fell asleep and a sense of immediate calm came over us all. It was peaceful even. . We saw graves dating back to the mid 1800’s, babies with lambs or doves on their tombstone, a pioneer women, world war 1 heroes, Irish, Italian, Japanese and Chinese immigrants.. . This vivid yellow tree stood out gracefully. Giving life to all of this nostalgia. Honoring the fallen with its glow. . . The kids later told me that seeing heaven was their favorite part of the day. 🥰Such a lovely cemetery. 💛💛💛💛 #autumncolors #coloroftheyear2021 #coy2021 #pantone2021 #cemetaryshots #cemeterylovers #foothillshistory #goldcountry #historicemetary #beautifulautumnday #inspired #reflection #oozeinspiration https://www.instagram.com/p/CImmDIlD6x4/?igshid=iz15j0v99ckk
