Portland mayor moving ahead with push for tougher penalties for protesters

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler expanded on his proposals to crack down on property destruction in an interview on “Think Out Loud” Monday, framing law enforcement as ill-equipped to apprehend suspects and calling on state legislators to help “update the tool kit” of police officers.

So in specific, he is pissed at Tracy Molina/Cozca.  There’s no question.

“I would love to see that individual prosecuted as a repeat offender” 

For protesting. You may have seen my other posts about her, she HAS been repeatedly arrested - usually with much more force than is necessary, at least once landing her in the hospital.

DO NOT WATCH if you can’t handle violence etc.  It’s not nice at all.

Let me reiterate: the mayor of Portland wants *her* arrested for this.  No repercussions for the cops.  at all.

For reference, Cozca was arrested by the feds the other night.  Usually she’s arrested by PPB, but I guess they’re shaking things up.

Cozcacuauhtli Itzpapalotl @cozca503 The Supreme Court says LE can DNA test you if arrested. It used to be if convicted.

The video got me though.  The music more than the images, for me.  I remember going to pow wows as a kid.  As shit as my childhood was, that is something I miss.  I wish I’d been old enough to know the people involved. 

And I wonder how many are missing and/or murdered, now.

Hey, you know I mention Cozca on here all the time, in relation to the protests in Portland.  Always in front of ICE, always giving the PPB and Feds shit, getting assaulted and harassed by PPB and the Feds, and even given special attention by Mr Tevis Wheeler.

She posted this tonight - I love that it shows she’s not superhuman, just really, really passionate about protecting her family and friends.
