YES YES YES on the best friends thing! I would have loved them so much for had it not been the unnecessary 'doctor's wife' subplot.

Sameeee. I liked River's character alright, she is sassy and badass and just...the whole romance thing killed it for me. It always felt forced and I just didn't like it. BUT SASSY FLIRTY TIME TRAVELLING BEST FRIENDS? I WOULD WATCH THE SHIT OUT OF THAT AND BE SO HAPPY.
