The fact that I’ve seen like a dozen “the M9 as _____” posts this week all without mention of Molly makes me feel like he’s well and truly gone

I’m glad I was spoiled for parts of TAZ because the bury your gays in the petal to the metal arc was.......really very not good....

like the fact it was 100% railroaded with no possibility of player intervention, the player characters immediately just using it for pun fodder and moving on, no other established LGBT characters at that point...

It makes me really glad that there was feedback about it and it was listened to, and also makes me feel less wounded by the Mollymauk “confirmed genderfluidity after death” Tealeaf mess bc as tone-deaf as some of the talk is, there’s at least an attempt of respect both within and outside of the game

I am feeling especially uncharitable tonight but I was waiting for a “don’t get yourself killed on my account” speech from the Traveler and instead I got a “I wouldn’t let anything REALLY bad happen [your friend dying to save you doesn’t count as bad enough]” and he is now on my shit list

I would say interpretation accepted but you know Molly would MUCH rather have them see the Action

I suddenly realized that if anyone other than Molly had been killed, there would be 0 in-character chance for Mollymauk “Leave No One Behind” Tealeaf to not push for a resurrection and now I’m back to the anger stage of grief

I really, really wish that Keg’s interaction with the group wasn’t limited to guest appearances.  The more I think about her character, the more I feel she NEEDS a group like them, and the sadder I get at the thought of her being on her own.

She just faced down her abuser, fell in love, made her first true friend after having to kill her kind-of-friend, and is grappling with the fact that she’s allowing herself to care about right and wrong and actually felt good about helping people.  And then a icing on the cake, is still blaming herself for Molly’s death, and considers herself cowardly despite the immense bravery she showed in that arc.

Imagine her actualy staying with the group, having Nott introduce her to Jester’s bright warm friendship, joining in Beau’s fledgling determination to help people instead of hurt them, slowly learning to forgive herself with Fjord, slowly building self-confidence and fighting self-loathing with Caleb.  (And being aroused by Yasha) (I mean what)

And most of all, to have the underlying security that if something that horrible happened to her, they would come to save her as quickly as they would each other.
