I'm sure everything's already been written about the (in)famous Scanbo scene in episode 31, but every time I watch it it strikes me how much fun the players - all the players, even though technically only one is playing! - are having.
Not just Travis and Taliesin, who are gleefully enabling Sam and following the chaos Scanlan is leaving in his wake, and Laura, half-elated and half-alarmed at Vedmire being a goliath, who makes helpful suggestions along with dry comments; but also Liam, who seems to die inside every time Scanlan refuses to take an opportunity to run, and Marisha, gobsmacked that Scanlan volunteered for this "setting fire to a house" mission seemingly without anything useful for lighting fires.
Everyone is invested and having fun, no-one is bored, even though only one player is actively doing things. The tension does not let up and the energy and vibes are perfect from beginning to end. What a contrast to just a few episodes ago!
