Okay but I really think they could have stopped this. Like there were so many rolls that could have changed this outcome. They were high rolls yes, but they weren't impossible. Imogen nat one to persuade her mom, Liam and marisha rolling bad for Caleb and beau, chet not getting his grapple, everyone rolling low on initiative vs otahan, even FCG failing the dispell check might have changed things. Even like the choice to bring in keyleth was theirs. They had warning that Ludinus was letting things slip on purpose, a lot of people were guessing this was some sort of trap. I say this as praise for Matt and the players. He let the players walk into a trap, but he didn't make it impossible to escape. Like I genuinely believe Matt was okay with either outcome. I would also guess this was a middle outcome. Like I think them getting transported and the solstice still happening has something to do with the lack of power.
Ludinus would be anti-vax
So there is a non-zero chance they got sent back in time
I don’t think Vax is dead. I don’t think he can be for what Ludinus did to work. Shape changed or something maybe but if he needed “a shred of divinity” or whatever then killing him or eradicating him completely would prevent him from still being tied to the Matron of Ravens, right? Like is essence can’t be destroyed in order for that to work and since he’s sort of already incorporeal anyway cuz of the nature of what he is I think it’s somewhat reasonable to believe he is still recoverable from that state?
But also I don’t know shit about fuck and I could be super duper wrong that’s just my current thoughts
Out of all the losses we had on c3ep51, FCG losing his big voltron mecha body is the one that stings the most
Me at work right now
Gonna be thinking about imogen's nat one for the rest of time.
