Also, again, on Bolaire. Saying that Hal was in the wrong for getting mad at Bolaire for wearing Misha 'because it hurt Bolaire's feelings' or whatever is crazy, and I cannot keep seeing these posts online. We cannot be looking at a piece of media with such a narrow perspective it's driving me mad.
Reacting poorly to the knowledge of a parasitic mask is not an irredeemable position to take; Bolaire is justified to be resentful of Thjazi, but I don't think the "You're defending an abuser" claim is a fair or reasonable way to interact with either character. I feel like a lot of Bolaire fans seem to expect every character to treat him perfectly sympathetically, and it's just so tiring.
Either talisen is method acting so hard or he does not understand the plot and themes of cr4. Because in what world do you think Thjazi is supposed to be a straight up villan?? And not a person. With nuance.
