I learned how to crochet to make the Garn Knuten crab bag. I have no regrets.

(Yes I modified the pattern to give it beady little eyes on eye stalks. Thank you bead world for selling me exactly two (2) 8mm round tourmaline beads.)

I learned how to crochet this year so I can make this crab bag.* It's going ok, I have most of the pieces crocheted and now I need to add the zipper, sew everything together, and make the eyes. I'm going off-pattern with the eyes because my roommate pointed out that crabs often have eyestalks and that is clearly the correct way to go.

Assembly is probably going to suck because I don't sew, but I'll survive. Hopefully.

*I already know how to knit so at least I went into it with a basic understanding of how yarn crafts work

Well, I got my mercy crab to eat a little more tonight.  Honey on a q-tip, dipped in a little calcium powder.  Hand fed him until he pushed the q-tip away and turned away a little.  Tried a little peanut butter, but he definitely didn’t want any of that.  May try a smear of coconut oil in the morning.  Get some fats in him.

Put the cocohut back over him, leaving the q-tip coated in honey, stuck in the sand, and within easy reach.  He’s trying a little, at least.  Couldn’t get him to drink any water, but left a bottle lid with some nearby.

I’m pretty sure it’s hopeless, but I’m gonna keep trying.  At least make him comfortable.
