Cracked Tyria - From the perspective of Primeangel
Mt. Maelstrom was always an exceedingly hot and humid place. In the summers of Tyria it was even more so. This day was no exception as you and a band of Asura merchants were on your way towards Rata Sum with a shipment of new Mark II golems. You were a hired mercenary. Your job was to protect the group as they made their way to Rata Sum, a simple job or so it would seem. Though you were surprised that no one had taken the job sooner. “Bunch of cowards..” you thought to yourself. Of course you were referring to the other mercenaries. Most of them were known to be the bravest and best for jobs. Yet here you were and none of the others seemed brave enough for a “simple job.”
Up ahead you all saw the opening to a large cave. The group decided to take a break and set camp there. The air seemed to grow hotter and hotter the closer you got to the mouth of the cave but you didn’t care because your feet were tired and you all needed a good meal. Immediately something seemed... Off in the cave. Firstly you noticed a large halo projector which was seeming to be held together by a bunch of nuts and bolts and.. vines??Several Asura crowded around the over-sized projector and seemed to begin to study it.
One of the Asura pressed what seemed to be a button and the projector turned on. Music blasted through the cave and caused several of the Asura to cover their ears from how loud it was. The halo projector showed what looked to be.. Anime? Yes that’s what it was an anime. The opening credits for Berserk to be exact.. Next you noticed a large boulder carved into the shape of a large couch. “What the hell?!” you exclaimed, wondering what kind of creature would use such a large piece of furniture. Next came the smell... The scent of fresh popcorn smell filled the air. You had just about convinced yourself that a giant must live here.. Which wasn’t far off.
“Visitors? For me?” an excited voice said from the entrance of the cave. You turned around slowly to face what you were sure was a giant. What you saw terrified you beyond belief. There she stood, Primeangel. First of the elder dragons. Your jaw dropped as you stared up at the great dragon many feared. Now you could see why the other mercenaries didn’t take the job. They didn’t want to risk facing an elder dragon! “Oh and you turned on the projector already.. You’re just in time for this week’s Anime marathon!” she exclaimed with pure glee. You were put off by her aloof demeanor. Was it a trap? You didn’t want to stick around to find out. You were about to rally the Asura and make a run for it. That’s when the Sylvari started to pile into the cave with cushions and chairs of all sorts. Some even had pic-nic baskets! All of them began to set their seating around in front of the couch, right between the halo projector.
You and the rest of the group had had enough. All of you made a run for it, you, the Asura and their Mark II golems. Out the cave you went, not turning back. You would make it to Rata Sum by dawn’s first light at the pace you were going.
“Aww they left so soon.. Ah well! time for another anime marathon!” Primangel and the sylvari continued their weekly routine of watching anime on her halo projector that the sylvari crafted together for her.
