Adriana’s Story

Back in school, she was given the nickname Ice Princess, but not because she’s a cold, stoic person

There was an incident that made her really upset, but instead of getting angry she kept a straight face. When she entered the classroom, her classmates noted that they felt a sudden temperature drop because of her presence.

Is pretty much quiet at first, but once you get to know her, she opens up. Being with people she’s close with makes her more outgoing. She can get kinda rowdy when she’s hanging out with her hyper friends

Not afraid to stand up for herself and her friends. She’s always willing to help the people she cares about, although she’s awkward when they reciprocate

In school, she had gotten into a few fights with bullies trying to protect her friends and won every single one of them

Very protective of her younger siblings and is a doting older sister

Adriana comes from a well-known family that owns a design company split into two departments; fashion and interior

Her family often collaborates and deals with the Godspeed family

She works as a fashion/interior designer because it’s what she was taught and also grew to love, but doesn’t agree to take over the family business and wants to make a name for herself

Right after finishing school, her parents tell her of a marriage they had arranged for her even after she voiced her strong opposition of arranged marriages multiple times in the past

She runs away to her best friend’s, Stephanie, house and stays for about a year before reconciling with her parents (she ran out of the room before her parents could tell her the guy’s name)

Aside from differing opinions on arranged marriages, she loves her parents very much and has a close relationship with them both

She later discovers, after her and Fenrir become a couple, that he was the one her parents set her up with, which also surprises him

“How come you’re surprised? Did neither of our parents tell you my name back then?”

“I was against the arranged marriage, too. I completely zoned out after my dad said those two words.”

“Oh my god, Fenrir.”

“What? You ran out!”

“You zoned out!”

After her and her parents’ reconciliation, she begins to spend more time with them and being at the company, then begins to realize how much she enjoys her the environment and reconsiders taking over the company when her parents choose to retire

To be extremely honest, she fell head over heels for Shu Shu before Fenrir lmao

The little pupper was so excited when Fenrir took him to the dog park to meet up with Adriana and her six dogs for a play date

He totally didn’t fall in love with her after seeing her run around and roll in the grass with seven dogs…....totally

She totally didn’t fall in love with him when he tripped and fell into the lake followed by 7 doggos diving in after him happily

Past Life

Wasn’t originally going to join the army after being recruited, but changed her mind when she witnessed a traumatizing event. (not going into specifics) This made her want to do whatever she was able to do, in order to help others and prevent more tragedies

Has a packed schedule most of the time and gets scolded by the other officers a lot for not getting enough rest

Either Sirius or Luka makes sure there’s tea and snacks ready in the kitchen when she stops by though

Was the 8 of Spades (has someone used this already?)

She’s very agile and has a lot of stamina. Black Army soldiers believe she beat 100 Red Army soldiers alone

They find her fun to be around, but are scared of getting on her bad side, afraid she may crush them dead lmao

Many of them admire and look up to her like they do with the other leaders

Member of The Raven’s Shadows - receives secret assignments related to collecting intel on Amon and his plans. Sirius is the only one who knows of each member’s true identities

Extra

Instead of throwing out her unwanted clothes, she donates them

When she finds out that some of the higher ups in her family’s company had been telling the employees to throw out whatever products they didn’t sell, she changes it and now they’re either recycled or donated

Kind of wants to get into real estate to buy out apartment buildings and lower rent prices to make living more affordable for others

Typically for students and low-income families; also people who are going back to school after working for so long

Has workshops to help teach people how to be financially responsible

If she can start a program/collaborate with a few universities, she plans to start offering students internships at her family’s company

Well, I went and made another OC! I have a thing for girls with short hair, if you couldn’t tell. My own hair is short so I went with what I know best XD

Personality

Atlis is very bubbly and outgoing, usually asking twenty questions in two minutes. She’s naturally inquisitive, even if she doesn’t understand what is being discussed. She tries to make friends with just about anyone but usually has a good sense about who can and can’t be trusted. Her lack of personal boundaries is unsettling to some, but she takes the criticism fairly well (usually only pouts a bit but then complies quickly if asked to back off). When in ‘work mode’, she’s very cliche for a bookstore clerk; calm, quiet, and always carrying a mug of tea around with her nose in a book. She reads everything she can get her hands on, although her retention of material is sometimes not the best. She’s not always great with names but recognizes faces, sometimes giving people nicknames until she can remember what their real name is. She lets her emotions run rampant on her face, and this sometimes backfires because people can tell when she’s sad or upset. She cries easily, both from frustration and cute or sad things. She has a love of animals but doesn’t feel she would take good care of one personally so doesn’t keep a pet. Her favorite food is cookie dough and bread (not together, although she’s yet to try it so who knows). She prefers to wear looser clothing and tries not to wear a corset as much as possible, despite it being frowned upon. Eating and reading are her top two favorite things. She loves fluffy blankets and can be seen in the colder months trailing around the shop with one around her shoulders.

Background

Atlis grew up in Red territory in a house full of people. She has two older brothers (24 & 26), both in the Army, and one younger brother (15) who is still attending schooling. Her father remarried after the passing of her mother, when Atlis was eight. Her step-mother, Emilia, was very kind upon entering the family and took to Atlis like she was her own daughter. However, their relationship soured slightly a few years later (when Atlis was 10) when Emilia kept trying to get the girl to wear more traditionally feminine clothing and insisting she answer to Lis instead of Atlis, as she felt it could be construed as Elisabeth and was therefore more feminine. Atlis’s father chose to turn a blind eye to let the women work it out themselves, and this caused the bright cheerful child to retreat into herself and her books. Her brothers didn’t believe there was a problem and teased her about it all for a few years. When her youngest half-brother was five , he suddenly seemed to cling to her side and Atlis took to letting him follow her around and she read to him to help him sleep. This seemed to change Emilia’s mind about making Atlis more of a woman, and she let up on her ministrations.

Atlis attended school alongside some of the current Red & Black Army Officers but was never friends with them, as she preferred to keep her nose in books and wasn’t very outgoing after the incident with her family. Her brothers also paid her no mind, as they were too busy being goofballs and pulling pranks when they could. Atlis did fairly well in school but was never top of her class, as she often forgot to do assignments. She never joined any clubs because it would take away from her reading time and too many new people made her nervous.

Upon graduating, her father assumed she would follow in her brothers’ footsteps and join the Army but as she was under no obligation to, being a girl and the third born child, she decided to open a bookshop in the Central Quarter. Her father helped get her set up and her step-mother, a self-proclaimed interior designer (she is quite good, but Lis won’t tell her that), helped her decorate. She started off with second hand books that people would donate, and then goods from traders and craftsmen, until she grew into being able to sell newer books. Her younger brother started coming in on occasion to help around the store, mostly with cleaning and running small errands for her. She is by no means the only book store in the Quarter but she doesn’t mind, she enjoys her small clientele. And her father helps keep the business afloat should earnings be too low one month.

While the shop was first starting, Lis was still very shy and this hurt her shop some. Until one day a customer asked if Lis would be willing to host a book club, and she couldn’t refuse the shy happy look on the young girl’s face. Months of a book club slowly brought Lis out of her shell until she was once more the bubbly child she used to be, but now elevated from years of repressing herself. The book club drew people in, and soon she was dedicating a corner of her shop to aspiring writers and those who just needed to bask in the smell of books.

Relationship(s)

Black Army

Ray: She knows he likes cats, seems very lone-wolf, and that Fenrir is his best friend. But that’s about it. He isn’t impolite to her but doesn’t go out of his way to befriend her. He seems as strong of a King as Lancelot.

Sirius: He is always very kind when he visits the shop, sometimes even just popping in for a quick hello before he finishes patrol or errands. She always asks him what flowers are best for the shop, and a few times he has supplied her with some from the Black Army’s garden (when the first bath from him died, she pressed them to use as bookmarks, but she won’t tell him that). 

Luka: He comes by for writing utensils and notebooks, but gives off a cold vibe. He seems to have a particular disinterest in her but she tries not to take it personally, treating him like she would any other customer. She would like to know why he is so standoffish though.

Seth: His exuberance is a breath of fresh air to her and when they run into each other they both usually squeal. She wouldn’t say they’re good friends, but she considers him a friend nonetheless.

Fenrir: He makes her extremely nervous when he comes in as he is loud. He is a sweet man but she’s worried he will cause a disaster as he’s akin to a bull in a china shop. He has bought a few books before as gifts, but usually only comes in to pester her for several minutes and then is on his way. She’s not quite sure what to think of him.

Red Army

Lancelot: She’s a little scared of him but deeply respects how strong and steadfast he appears. She does not know him personally. Thinks he’s pretty.

Jonah: She chooses to let his snide remarks and pettiness go over her head, choosing to engage him with a smile and pretending to have no clue what he means by anything. She likes hearing him talk about mille-feuille, though. His face lights up and she thinks he looks even more beautiful.

Edgar: His calm demeanor and love of sweets makes him a fair compliment to her. She loves discussing stories and gossip with him, even if she doesn’t always know who or what he’s referring to. She thinks he’s rather charming and cute, but in a plain way. 

Kyle: Possibly her favorite patron, as he’s always browsing for new books and is amicable. However he reeks of disinfectant and alcohol and it prickles her nose, the smell never leaving her for the rest of the day. She always feels the need to clean anywhere he’s touched to get the smell out. He is always kind to her, saying hello with a smile which she returns. 

Zero: She’s barely said two words to him, and only when he’s with Edgar. He seems a nice enough guy but she doesn’t know much about him. He looks like he could be scary in a fight but he has such kind eyes.

Citizens

Harr: She’s seen him in passing but doesn’t know his name.

Loki: Any time he stops by her shop she offers him sweets and tea and lets him hang out for as long as he’d like as he stays relatively quiet. She only wishes he wouldn’t fall asleep on her favorite chair. She only knows his name but not really anything else about him, other than he looks like he needs a friend.

Blanc: One of her favorite customers, or freeloaders; she isn’t sure which he is. He comes in frequently but doesn’t always buy anything. Occasionally he’ll stop by with a new dessert and leave it for her. He seems to know more about her than she does about him, but she’s okay with that. His flirting and offhand compliments leave her flustered and cherry-red in the face for hours, even though she knows he does this to everyone. She enjoys his company immensely though.

Oliver: Child-Oliver is adorable but gruff, and she finds his attitude only slightly off putting. She finds it very hard to take him seriously when he looks like he could be her younger brother. Adult-Oliver gets her flustered and trying to speak to him is akin to her brain short-circuiting. It’s not that she has any romantic inclinations towards him, just that it’s hard to fuse the two images of him as one person.

Favourite Subject: Early Childhood Foundations and the Teaching Profession and Child Development: Prenatal to Adolescence

Organization: Fencing Club, Musical Theatre Society and the Baseball Team (she ain’t no soft softball lady, bring in the big guns!)

Luka Clemence and Edgar Bright (How do I express in the form of words?)

-Met them back in freshmen orientation when she was walking down a hallway, singing a song as she admired everything. She turned the corner to run into them as it appeared they had been peeking around the corner since they heard a voice and steps in a supposedly empty hallway. They kept running into each other throughout the year and became friends at the end. 

-They hang out a lot when they’re not climbing work mountain.

-The three of them like sneaking into the kitchen, Luka cooking actual food as Ileana and Edgar try to bake a sugary cake without burning everything. 

Jonah Clemence (Please get him away from her before she commits a crime)

-Met him when she signed up for the Musical Theatre and she thought he seemed like a passionate about theatre guy. 

-A few sessions in and she stated, “Oh no, he’s insane, this person needs help.”

-Jonah didn’t really talk to her, besides during club meetings and events, but when she started hanging out with Luka more and more?

- Big Brother Mode Engaged

-”Hello, I am Jonah Clemence, who are you to my adorable younger brother, Luka?” 

-When he wasn’t talking to her about the club, he was talking about Luka.

-She is always so close to punching his lights out before the bell rings to dismiss them. 

Collette Cantrell (Sister From Another Mister)

- Collette and Ileana met back in high school and have been like sisters since then.

- They study together, even though they don’t have all of the same classes. 

- Go out to eat and relax during the weekends

- Complain to each other about their stupid educational decisions

- So thankful that she has an older person to talk to even though Collette still doesn’t know what she’s doing.

Student History/Life: Her mother didn’t have enough money to pay for her tuition and she wasn’t lucky enough to earn a scholarship, but working every weekend and most afternoons after school got her in. Almost there, playing 24/7 in her head as she worked and studied. With all the money she got, including with some help from a friend, she was able to afford school.  Ever since she started university, she has always been to class on time and turned everything in early. The thought of being late or turning something in late, EVEN ONCE, terrifies her. Ileana loves to hang out with her friends to relax and just have fun most of the time. Extracurricular activities also help her relax.

-In sophomore year, the very first day back, she saw him sleeping after the last bell had rung. 

-”What the fuck, man, we just got back.”

-Collette decided to be a good person and wake him up. 

-Has had to wake him up for the past 2 years. They developed a very good friendship because of that. 

-One day before Junior year ended, she woke him up when class ended, as usual. Collette was about to ruffle his hair, which is how she wakes him up, but stopped when he said, “Wanna go out with me, Collette?”

-The brown-eyed woman stopped where she was and looked down at him. His eyes were closed and he looked like he was still sound asleep, was he?

- Mousse opened one of his eyes and looked up to see her expression, “I’ll take that as a yes?”

Eat out almost every night. Has about a whole box filled with Instant Noodles under her bed. Does her best in class and tries not to lose it every single second.

Hair: Blue, short, never styled just always messy

Features: Round face, pale skin, freckles across her nose and cheeks

Additional Info: prefers sweaters and baggier clothes, needs glasses or else she gets headaches, small magic crystal earrings

Personality

Brash, loud, and almost always petulant. Violet can usually be found either sporting a scowl or no expression whatsoever. Her smiles aren’t rare but it’s not a default for her. She has a natural tendency to doubt herself and usually assumes she’s in the way. She’s clumsy and forgetful and rarely cleans up after herself (this had led to her being banned from cooking without extreme supervision and being locked in her room until she finished cleaning). Despite being loud an opinionated she has friends but feels too shy to try and make more. Tends to be an oversharer once she does get to talking and will generally give people prior approval to shut her up if she talks too much. Generally feels like she is in everyone’s way or holding everyone back, leading her to moody spells where she shuns everyone. Social drinker only. Will cut you if you take her sweaters or jackets away. Awful with pranks, has no clue how to pull them off. She gives combat training her all but also jokingly-complains the entire time about how she wants a nap.

Background

Born & raised in Black Territory. Violet’s mother died giving birth to her and was a rumored magic user. Her father has told her that Violet’s mother used the last of her magic to make sure her baby was born healthy but Violet just assumes it was complications and lets it go at that. She is an only child. Never a stand-out student but wasn’t a slacker. Growing up, she showed no exuberance for any one hobby or career path and her Father assumed she’d just find a job somewhere and live out her life that way. She has always had a fascination with books and reads anything she can get her hands on, amassing a small library at her family home. Born not quite well-off but her family had enough to make sure she lived comfortably. When Violet joined the Army, she was surprised she made it in. She has no real proficiency but prefers stealth weapons or close-combat weapons. Upon entering the Army, her Father gifted her with a set of magic crystals as earrings.

Relationship(s)

Black Army

Ray: friendly but not close. Violet looks up to him and aspires to be as strong as he is, in leadership and combat. she has a bit of an idol-crush on him but it’s not romantic

Sirius: Violet thinks of him as a stubborn older brother who likes to boss her around too much, but she trusts him and admires him. he goes very easy on her when she messes up but she sasses him anyways because she hates letting him down more than anyone

Luka: She wants to be better friends so bad but always ends up flustering him to the point he runs her off so he can breathe without feeling like he wants to pull his hair out. He has banned her from the kitchen due to the ‘Great Saucing Incident’

Seth: Central Quarter date-buddies! Seth likes to gossip and Violet knows none, but she’s happy to listen to him talk. He doesn’t pressure her and took her under his wing to teach her better combat skills (She needs them, she’s awful)

Fenrir: part-time drinking buddies. She thinks his pranks are terrible but he’s fun to be around. He talks enough for the both of them but is happy with the quiet when she needs it. Doesn’t stand up for her if other soldiers put her down, but encourages her to stand her own ground. Will definitely back her up in a fight, though.

Red Army

Lancelot: straight up terrified of him but tries to never show it. She gets a bad case of the shivers any time she’s had to witness him

Jonah: thinks he’s a magnificent prick (but would probably also let him step on her because he’s so pretty and she’s so very weak for pretty men). never backs down from sassing back if she runs into him while shopping, but her face gets all read and splotchy from embarrassment.

Edgar: he wigs her out. Something’s not right about him but she doesn’t know what, all she knows is when he gets That Smile she feels like he might cut her organs out and keep her alive to watch. When he turns his charms on though she forgets she’s freaked out by him and then hates herself later for falling for his crap

Kyle: drinking buddies! Although she thinks he probably should be forcibly restrained from consuming as much as he does. Trusts him with her life due to his code of ethics. Thinks all the work he does for kids is inspiring and wishes she was as morally strong as him

Zero: she can’t get a read on him. all she knows is he’s quiet and has never fought her so she has no direct quarrel with him, just with the Army as a whole. if circumstances were different, she could see them being friends. As it is, she wishes she never has to fight him head-on

Citizens

Harr: has literally only met him by accident when she caught Sirius talking to him. The impression she got was he was not someone to be trifled with but that he was also very shy and lonely

Loki: oh god he’s touching her again why is he like this are we sure he’s not a cat why does he look more pouty than her and where did he get that jacket she really really wants one oh shit he's magic. Loki is literally a nonsensical stream of thoughts any time she runs into him; she doesn’t dislike him but his lack of boundaries is both cute and makes her uncomfortable. She does, however, envy his wardrobe.

Blanc: He has got to stop calling her Miss Boyd before she starts putting extra sugar in his tea to spite him. Formalities aside, Violet counts him as a dear friend and he’s one of the few who puts up with her sass with a patient face. He likes having her over to bake and doesn’t understand why Luka would ban her from a kitchen

Oliver: it’s like if you put two hateful angry wasps in a box together and then shook the box.
