Passion Project: The Client
RESEARCH: PASSION PROJECT 2.0
The first stage of my own design process was to conduct some research with the client AKA my husband :) I decided that a very visual questionnaire was the way to go in the hope this would give me an understanding about his ideas for his brand in terms of personality, tone of voice, typography, design & colour.
ANSWER 1:
REAL, ORIGINAL, AUTHENTIC, HONEST, AFFORDABLE QUALITY, EXCITING
ANSWER 2:
Wolf - intelligent, understated, powerful, packs a punch
ANSWER 3:
Crocodile Dundee - honest, real, powerful, charismatic
ANSWER 4:
A combination of Mercedes/ American Muscle Car
Mercedes: reliable, style, consistency
American Muscle Car: powerful, punchy, dirty
ANSWER 5:
Lime - punchy & refreshing
ANSWER 6:
Hexagon - many sides (complex flavour)
ANSWER 7:
When I asked Paul about the brands he preferred, he was most drawn to the design with strong typography and colour ways (circled).
He felt the other designs looked cheap, he associated the minimal design & colourways as a weaker beer.

This questionnaire has been a really useful starting point for me and I will now go back and refine these ideas to create a more focussed moodboard, typography options & possible colour palette to take forward.
