i n s t r u c t i o n s :

Since my pumpkin was white, i decided i wanted to paint it orange to get a base color. Skip this step if your pumpkin is already orange.

Cover the pumpkin with modge podge and then with the glitter. Let it dry completely.

Then, go over the entire pumpkin with the modge podge to seal it. Let that dry as well.

Set the pumpkin on the lace and cut a large circle around it

Find the middle of the circle, and snip it. Slide the stem through the hole, secure with hot glue if necessary.

Wrap the lace around to the bottom of the pumpkin and secure with hot glue. Trim the lace as necessary, as you want to keep the bottom as flat as possible

i n s t r u c t i o n s :

Start by folding the batting in half and loosely rolling it up. Secure the ends with glue if necessary

Take the string and wrap it around the batting roll so it’s divided into fourths and tie it.

Take the wood plaque and insert it under the string on the bottom. This is so it will sit balanced on any surface.

Apply a large amount of glue to the center of the pumpkin and attach the stem.

Cut a loose circle on your velvet.

Attach the velvet to the batting roll. Start by securing it tightly along the lines of the sting. Then slowly work your way toward the middle on each side

Black construction paper or cardstock

Orange, purple, white, yellow (optional) tissue paper

Modge podge

Brush

Cut or rip up your tissue paper as you desire. I’m going to do strips for the jack-o-lantern, squares for the ghost, and ripped pieces for the haunted house. I also cut a moon out of the yellow

Use the modge podge to apply the tissue paper. It looks best if you overlap it on the edges. Repeat this for all 3 jars.

Next cut out the shapes you want silhouetted. I did a jack-o-lantern face, a simple ghost face, and then a basic haunted house with some bats

Attach the cutouts using the modge podge.

Apply a coat of modge podge over the entire jar. Let it dry.

Finally, switch on your tealight, turn off the lights, and watch your halloween luminaries glow

•  A wood board or sign (approx.18x5”) - http://bit.ly/2xJCIru 
•  Black, white and silver paint
 •  Two round sponge brushes - http://bit.ly/2wz7aiU (I was able to find a pack of two for about $1 at Joann’s) •  Wide regular brush
•  A scrap piece of card stock or heavy-weight paper.  •  Something circular to trace. •  Scissors •  Painting supplies, like a pallet, paper towels, and cup of water •  White colored pencil (optional)

i n s t r u c t i o n s :

My sign had a frame around it, so i added a little paint to match my room. This step only applies if your sign has a frame and is optional.

The first real step is to paint the board black.

While that paint’s drying, you can make your stencil. Somehow this clip got deleted, but all you need to do is take the cardstock and trace the circle and cut it out. I used the inside of this tape roll.

Now that the video’s back, you can take your stencil and align it in the middle of the board. Then take white paint on the foam brush and dab it first on a napkin to remove excess paint and then gently dab it in the stencil. You don’t want to completely fill the stencil so it looks like craters on the moon.

Continue down the line, next with a half moon, then a crescent. Repeat on the other side of the full moon.

Next, you can take some silver paint and dab that onto the moons just for some extra dimension

This final step is optional, but you can take a white colored pencil and label the moon phases.
