Eldar Howling Banshee but Heavy Metal (like, actually)
the new Codex: Aeldari experience
Ah, wraithbone.
You know wraithbone, right?
It's been a core component of the Craftworld Eldar for decades, a psychoplastic that is not mined nor manufactured, but psychically sung into existence by Bonesingers, the energy of the warp crystallised into solid form to provide an impossible material that no other faction can utilise.
Yeah, well, in the new codex it is just a fancy substance made from "various compounds, ores, and minerals."
Eldar Warlocks.
I don't know if there is a piece of dialogue sitting in some corner of this massive game that contradicts this, but from what I have seen, I find it kinda funny that Yrliet seems to misattribute her repulsion to physical touch as something just inherent to how aeldari feel about humans.
Like, even if we say that drukhari are a separate case and therefore Marazhai's whole existence can not be taken as a proof of the opposite, I still just don't think that this is like a Thing in the lore? Granted, I don't think that there is, despite the memes, any canon human/aeldari romances in warhammer, but there is also just not a lot of canon romances in warhammer in general.
And at the same time I don't think that there is any indication in game that Yrliet feels cardinally different about her own people? Which makes it all rather seem like she personally is some combination of asexual and touch-repulsed, but does not really have those or equivalent terms to operate with, and so resorts to comprehension of the self via Space Racism. Wherever that Council money was going on Crudarch, it was not towards education 😔
gem glow
I am burning up for you,
I am burning up for you
How old were you when you realized that the High Elf island of Ulthuan resembles the yin-yang symbol within its Inner Sea?
In fact, both the elves and the Eldar have this symbol in a lot of their iconography.
