NYEHEAAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA im. normal about this way of starting heinrix's romance.
Anyway.....in my hearts of hearts, she gives him a gift in return, just a little after this interaction. A handkerchief -soft fabric with embroideries on all four of its corners- is handed to the inquisitor when the Rogue Trader notices that he has a small cut on his hand. Adalet herself had those small accidents before, she still felt obliged to do something about that miniscule injury that even Heinrix himself was oblivious to. "You're bleeding," the Rogue Trader pointed at the cut with her brows, and before Heinrix could say anything, she pulls out a handkerchief out of her sleeve. It looked too ornated for this occasion, the inquisitor was just about to protest, but she acted faster than his initial refusal to take this fancy piece of fabric and lightly pressed on the area of the cut.
She was well aware of what she had just handed him, at least, that was a relief for Heinrix. But still, something felt.....unusual. Perhaps it was that brief eye contact that they have shared during this laughably short wound tending, or it could be Adalet's crooked, albeit faint smile when she saw his mouth open to protest this rather fancy gift that was about to be tainted with the droplets of blood.
Either way, Heinrix caught himself staring as she walked away further through the bridge.
Was inspired by this scene from Magnificent Century: Kösem, that particular interraction has been living in my head rent free ever since i've watched it 😁🥴🥴🥴
