CAMP NICE 2018 SUPER RE-CAP EXTRAVAGANZA!
Doesn’t it feel now, more than ever, that we are hurling through time at such a crazy pace that keeping up is simply impossible? And what exactly are we keeping up with? The constant barrage of information, mis-information and every insignificant bit of data in between has deposited us in a constant state of flux that goes nowhere. Modern world problems indeed! So where do we go from here? For us, the answer is simple – we go to Camp Nice!
What started as a simple camping trip has become something so much more, and the changing times have all to do with it. Now Camp Nice is a sanctuary. Not so much an escape as it is a return, Camp Nice is the ultimate reset button. Whether for just one night or the whole twelve days, Camp Nice takes us back to a simpler way of life, one of cooperation, enthusiasm, and creativity, one where family and friends or complete strangers can co-exist peacefully and happily and rebuild the true feeling of what life is all about!
We know it sounds a bit extra, but anyone who has been to Camp Nice will tell you the same! This year saw Camp Nice bloom even more beautifully. A super diverse group of campers ebbing and flowing to and from camp made each day a completely different adventure, there was no way to know which way the vibe would swing. Merit badges were won, arts & crafts were created, boats were raced, waterfalls were discovered, haunted cabins were braved, fires blazed, and epic meals were created and shared. We’d watch the sun come up and then do it all over again!
Camp Nice would not have been what it was without our amazing partners this year.
Receptra Naturals – From CBD infused tea rituals every morning to CBD ointment for post-canoe shoulders, and even a CBD extract to help the Camp Nice canines keep calm in the woods, Receptra truly helped us “Make it Nice.” Their “Hang Up, Be Healthy” no cellphone merit badge was amongst the most coveted and only the most dedicated completed the challenge of 24 full hours without a phone check!
People Footwear – Every camper received a pair of People’s Cypress insulated moccasins that were essential all day and all night comfort.
Arvin Goods – Arvin hooked up a specially packaged Camp Nice sustainable sock meaning everyone had dry feet, even after surviving the few storms that rolled in.
Raen Optics – All campers got to hit the lake in style from Raen’s full range of sunglasses. Some people never even took them off!
Burton Snowboards – Burton’s Camp Nice accessory pack was the perfect size to keep all camp essentials at close hand.
Mizu – This years official Camp Nice mug came from Mizu as did a set of camp cutlery including chop sticks for all campers. Even back in the real world, its all you need to eat and drink and be completely green.
D’Angelico Guitars – From sunset sessions to late night crooning, D’Angelico provided the strings for Camp Nice’s merry musicians.
Austin Eastciders – Who knew camping and cider went so well. From the fully stocked Dardy Bar, Austin Eastciders were a hit from the first sip of the day to the last before bed. They mix great in cocktails too!
Old Blue Last – You’d be hard pressed to look across Camp Nice and not spot OBL’s signature gold can in multiple hands. Ice cold was the way to go.
El Buho Mezcal – When it came to late night libations in front of the fire, The Owl delivered every time.
Don Julio, Bulleit Bourbon & Ketel One Vodka – Our generous liquor sponsors meant that this years Camp Nice never feared a drought and tasty cocktails were always on deck!
We could continue on for days but words ultimately just don’t do Camp Nice justice, so without further ado, please enjoy our Camp Nice Recap Extravaganza in film photos by Craig Wetherby after the jump. To everyone that came, thank you! And to those that didn’t, there’s always next year!

BK to VT 2017
When word was sent from our VT brethren that another big storm was about to hit we decided to head North to enjoy some POW! After a late night at our Family Dinner at Sweet Chick we packed up the Jeep and hit the road first thing in the A.M. to try and avoid the hectic, stormy roads but the snow came in fast! The trip up to Burlington usually takes about 5-6 hours but this time it was a 9 hour treacherous journey. Even though it was a super long drive it was well worth the trek! See more photos from this epic trip after the jump…
And begin…
As soon as we got out of the City the snow started hammering!
We had white out conditions for the rest of the trip up…
As soon as we hit the Vermont border the roads were shut down due to a 12 car pile up!
Finally we arrived and our gracious host Tomas was already clearing the path…
Pablo was excited to see us too!
Like 2 ships passing on the icy lake…
Tomas was focused on setting some EZ vibes for the nite…
An early rise was in order to get the first ship up top!
We linked up with Status Jeff for some exploration into some secret zones…
These guys knew where the goods were stashed!
It was a winter wonderland in the treez!
Castles of Ice!
Day 1 was a success and the snow just kept falling!
We got the first gondola up the next day and the snow was DEEP!
The sun finally broke thru the storm and the views were majestic!
Our boy A-Dog was watching over us as we explored the woods…
Thank you Stowe!
The next day we decided to get out to explore some new zones…
Everyone was out enjoying the fresh snow!
We hiked around looking for some untouched lines…
Tomas & Nathan found em on their Burton Throwback’s!
More FRESH!
More zones to explore…
Nathan spotted his line…
He got the goods!
We wanted more tho…
We could have kept going but the sun started to set so we decided to head out…
Time to head back South…
Until next storm Vermont! Thanks you for the hospitality!

TheGoodLife! x Fice Gallery Present: Pray For Snow
Last week the Snow Gods trekked from NYC to Denver to commence our annual Mile High Tour, a time honored tradition of bringing ample pow and good times to our Rocky Mountain fam. This year we began the tour a bit differently by gathering an assortment of talented TheGoodLife! artists to create “Pray For Snow,” a group photography exhibit featuring the work of Jimmy Chin, Cole Barash, Laura Austin, Meg Haywood Sullivan, Craig Wetherby and Dean Blotto Gray. Hosted by our friends at Fice Gallery’s rad new Denver outpost and made possible by support from 10 Barrel Brewing, all proceeds from sales at “Pray For Snow,” will be committed to Protect Our Winters. Thanks to everyone that came to the show including Donna Carpenter, Chris Steinkamp, Barbara Weber, Torrey Udall, Lukas Haynes, and Auden Schendler of POW, photographers Dean Blotto Gray, Laura Austin, and Craig Wetherby, Jens Heig of Snowboard Magazine, Burton pro rider Zak Hale, DJ Rhetorik and many more. From the show we took it next store to 10 Barrel Brewing’s spanking new Denver brewpub where KNGZMEN TJ and JesseTre Mizell rocked the party until the early morning hours. Check out some pics after the jump and stay tuned for the full Mile High Tour recap coming soon!

BridgeRollers x TheGoodLife! 2016 100 Mile 9/11 Tribute Roll
This year marked the 15th anniversary of the event known as 9/11, a pretty mindblowing fact when you think about how much that day is still referenced in relation to the global politics of war, religion, and power. It’s also pretty mindblowing to think that this year’s class of high school freshman was made up mostly of kids that weren’t born yet when 9/11 went down. So for them it’s only a story. This is why we ride. We ride to remember that there was a time, not so long ago but always growing more distant, when fear and control were not the primary drivers of life. We ride to remember that Manhattan had vast swaths of rugged territory, before it became a massive luxury mall. We ride to acknowledge that New York City is made of people from all places, walks of life, and belief systems, and that’s why it’s the greatest city on earth. We ride to visit the places in the five boroughs that don’t reach the celebrity and financial media outlets and therefore barely exist. We ride because when we do we can go anywhere in this city and interact with any of it’s people. We ride for life. Please join us as we present the 2016 Bridgerollers 100 Mile 9/11 Trubute Roll in photos by Craig Wetherby and words by Tim Brodhagen and remember for yourself why you love New York City.
And it begins…Michael Cohen setting the pace with an AM crossing of the Manhattan Bridge, the first of many bridges that day.
Used to be the World Trade, then Ground Zero, now they call it the Freedom Tower.
How’d the paparazzi know where Coach Saes was gonna be?
We assembled in the belly of the beast.
15 years later and the NYPD is still on high alert. 9/11 should not be a day of fear. This is why we ride. We are not afraid.
9/11 is a day of respect. We definitely ride for the FDNY.
BK Bound!
Now entering the County of Kings!
TheGoodLife! FC All-Stars Franco & Cheick joined the pack as soon as we hit Brooklyn.
Roll Out!!
New York Fucking City. It doesn’t get any better than this.
Brooklyn Remembers.
By the time we hit the Verrazano, we were 30 deep. And it wasn’t even noon yet.
With Saes at the helm we were bound to hit some unexpected terrain.
Which doesn’t always work out for everybody.
But we still made it to Coney Island!
Boardwalk Empire.
So we pressed on. Adrian was focused!
A few hours in and we all needed to refuel so we headed to our favorite watering hole…
DARDY BAR!! Not coincidentally the new sponsor of TheGoodLife! FC!
He had to miss the beginning of the ride but Power came by in the Overthrow truck for some major BridgeRoller crew vibes.
It was getting warm out and we still needed hydration so another pit stop was announced.
Bohemian Hall! Timbo & Status Jeff had the right idea…AHHHH!
Now we were ready to cross some more bridges…
And we enjoyed every minute of it!
Hell’s Gate. But felt more like heaven.
Our impression of “Stand By Me,” who’s idea was this?! Active train track yo!
Since we didn’t die, we decided it was time to party. Real Bronx shit yo!
Akira Ruiz joined the pack on his BMX. Vamos!
Some peeps wanted their Mister Softee fix…but there was a bit of ambivalence. Clean eating is the new wave!
BX BABY! Southern Boulevard represent!
The sun may have started setting but the journey was still beginning.
Even while rooollin All Day I Dream About Soccer so Status took the shortcut across the pitch.
Deep in the Bronx and the crew was still assembling!
Time to hit some more bridges!
Status ain’t scared!
So worth it.
60 miles wasn’t phasing him so Hugh Grand hit the corner for a quick thug workout!
Back on Manhattan Island our first stop was El Tina’s. You need to know this spot.
Stacked up and the hood gave us mad love.
Our route back down the east side would require several more bridges. They don’t call us BridgeRollers for nothing!
Chain snap? No problem.
After a quick fix and a rapid roll we were Shaolin bound!
All aboard! Passage is free and beers are plentiful. The Staten Island Ferry is an oasis.
This is why we ride.
After a few quick miles on Staten Island we headed back to finish what we started!
We made it!
Tribute Lights were beaming!
And so was the squad!
One last treat before the end – roller coaster style!
And of course one last group shot.
Only the strong survived!
For finally victory beers at The Ear!
After 17 hours, 5 boros, 60 BridgeRollers, 100 beers and so many good vibes in the city we love, it was homeward bound…This is why we ride. We hope you’ll join us next year for #100MilesAndRooollin!
TheGoodLife! FC x FANATIC 2016 Kits
It’s that time of year again! For one brilliant day each year adidas’ FANATIC Tournament makes Brooklyn the world’s epicenter for small side football. On the 5 year anniversary of our invitation to FANATIC, adidas gave us a chance to build a kit from scratch. Beginning with our club penchant for black we opted for black on black details offset by a tonal grey chevron on the jersey chest, silver adidas logos and bright pink team and player badging and socks for that extra summertime pop! We even brought back our original team crest for a special hit on the back of the socks. Hit the jump for a full preview of the kits shot by Craig Wetherby for adidasNYC featuring Timbo, Libero, Dids and BK Sam from Upper90 who pressed the kits for us and #ComeThru to Pier 5 in Brooklyn tomorrow from 1pm – 8pm for FANATIC 2016!
