the fact that you can actually reflect on a different perspective instead of burying your head in the sand shows you’re lightyears ahead of many people that choose to stay ‘colorblind’ instead of actually giving these kind of topics any thought. i actually owe you an apology for coming at you with so much vitriol, i forgot i was speaking to a teenager. there’s so many levels to understanding institutional racism in the US and how it affects LITERALLY everything in our lives i just hope i didn’t discourage you in your journey. thank you for sharing your sentiments in the first place. it’s really important to have conversations like these so we all know where we stand in the first place, and where we’re trying to go.
