So in Clementine there are multiple ways to charge magic
Water
Milk
Fresh Blood
Whatever you use determines the strength of the spell
Certain spells are so powerful they *need* blood
But not much, a drop of two will usually suffice
Using blood from a living human or animal also drains their magic directly- which can make you very tired

“Uh, guess it would depend on the situation… I’d try to avoid using blood if I can help it, but if it was an emergency and I was out of other options or needed it for a powerful spell then I’d use it. Well, my own blood probably, not others’…
“Carrying milk around seems like it could be a hassle so guess I’d usually rely on water?”

shrug “Just use my own blood. It’s always at hand, I just need something to prick my fingers, but that shouldn’t be a problem.”

“Yeah, a lot of rituals I do use a drop of blood, I even have a small knife for that.”

“And blood makes the strongest spells, right? Then blood it is, obviously.”

“I think you all kinda forget the part that using your own blood means the spell will tire you out. Why do that when you can make it work with something so easy to come by as water? I’d use the weakest component needed for whatever I want to do, or whichever I have at hand. But I’d only use blood in emergencies, like Flow.”

“Oh yeah, guess that makes more sense. Good point.”

“Well, I’d use blood anyway, to make my spells cooler. I can take a little tiredness!”
