Tell me more about Alexander the Great, famous space cat?
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) THE SPACE CAT oo man that is one hell of a heartwarming story
as with almost any famous invididual, alexander the great had a humble beginning prior to his Rise to Fame and status as a formidable galaxy-conquering feline that never lost a battle
you see johnny’s father joseph is a retired alliance medic with a penchant for culinary arts and human history. while working in the marines was never a career path that suited his personality, it allowed him to ultimately devote his time and life’s earnings to his one and truest passion that is: cooking! (for most of his life before this he simply had a job in the military because it was expected of him -being from a very distinguished military family with a service history record so ancient it goes all the way down to WW2) AS a member of the systems alliance one is bound to spend a considerable amount of time in space… as well as on earth where the HQ is located so it wouldn’t be rare for joseph to frequently be stationed there. it would be during one of these instances that he’d become antiquated with one of Alliance HQ’s resident troublemakers: a little ginger kitten that never ceased to follow the poor man around whenever he was present (some of its favourite pastime activities included mysteriously appearing inside jo’s bedchamber at night, tearing apart his favourite slippers and underwear, using patient records as a makeshift latrine… in short the cat was a menace). fellow marines would joke about the creature’s tenacious tendencies nonstop it was all real and very Serious Business. it went on for quite some time too UNTIL ONE DAY, ON ONE OF ITS MORE EXTREME [lets-follow-old-jo-around] ESCAPADES THE POOR THING ACCIDENTALLY SENT ITSELF ON A LIFELONG VOYAGE….. THROUGH THE GALAXY.
on jo’s shuttle, as luck would have it. well he couldn’t exactly turn back halfway through the atmosphere could he? his superiors wouldn’t stand for something like that so he never did turn back. the cat would remain with the man for the rest of its life….. luckily the two grew to like each other over the years they spent together, put their past differences behind them and lived happily ever after on various space stations and wherever fate would take the shepards to (jo wanted to return the cat initially but johnny, who was still a child at the time INSISTED on keeping him and no one ever regretted this decision)
later after johnny’s parents separated alexander came to live on the little restaurant ship joseph owned. he had at this point established himself as a bit of a “travelling chef” of sorts and it was a no-brainer for him to make his loyal companion the mascot for his business (LITTLE DID HE KNOW THAT SOMEONE HE’D TELL THE STORY TO WOULD TURN THE DARN CAT INTO A KID’s CARTOON SUPERHERO… based on the real alexander the great of course!) which would then blow up and result in tourists from all over the galaxy coming to visit them. excellent for business.
for such occasions joseph keeps a specially designed fake space costume and v occasionally dresses alexander up in it to amuse customers
