I fucking met Reel Big Fish!!! I've said that living in New Orleans has been such an adventure with school, and I've been given so many amazing music opportunities. Two weeks ago, the university from across the street was hosting their annual (crawfish festival) Crawfest! They have a whole music lineup with amazing acts and Reel Big Fish were the headliners! I'm friends with the guy who put the festival together so he gave me a backstage pass and I was able to meet one of my favorite reggae bands!
Got to see Reel Big Fish at the 10th Anniversary of Crawfest. It was a hella good time.

Two weeks away from today, the wait will be over. The 3rd Annual Crawfish Festival of New Braunfels is back in town! This year, CrawfestNB starts a day earlier – on Friday April 29th the gates will be open at 6pm for “College Night.” Vendors will be open and activities will be happening until 10pm. At 8pm New Braunfels’ own Midnight River Choir will be performing followed by William Clark Green at 10 pm. Join William Clark Green for his official CD Release Party for his live album recorded in the Gruene Hall.
The big schedule for Saturday April 30th starts with:
5K Crawdaddy Dash. Run for a good cause. Participants will want to be at the Comal County Fairgrounds promptly at 8am. Early registration is currently priced at $30 until 4/29. Packet pick up will be at Buffalo Wings & Rings. Race Day registration will cost participants $35.
Live Music All Day & Night. CrawfestNB features the main Bud Light stage, a Zydeco stage, and the ValMark Hall. There will be performances from various artists all leading up to country star, Pat Green at 10pm. Other artists include Kurt Reece, Wade Bowen, Kaylee Rutland, Jason Allen, and more!
Activities. Competing in the Washer Tournament? Arrive precisely at 1pm and you can have the chance to receive $500 cash prize. See who can shell and eat the fastest with the return of the Crawfish Eating Contest at 3pm. Running all day will be the Kid Zone, Splash Dogs, Crawfish Races, and the Gumbo Competition.
