Sometimes he comes down to the crawlspace just to be close to her. It's not the same-- this body, rotting and lifeless, does not talk to him ( but then again, neither does Violet ). He sits against the wall with his chin in his hand, eyes flicking over the horrid face that Violet's body is stuck with, thinking that he should have been able to stop this-- that he could have saved her. He tried, oh god, did he try. But she took too many... if he'd stopped her from taking any at all...
