To add to your Spiderman AU - There is one super villain who isn't charmed by Bitty and his ways, the kind of guy who doesn't care for baked goods and doesn't have enough love in his life. When all the other villains hear about this guy terrorising Bitty, they decide for once to help defeat the super bad guy with Bitty and other heros, because they won't get their baked goods if Bitty's dead and they kinda like him secretly
Look, Bitty doesn’t really know this, but his villains actually have to go through a screening process before being allowed to get into his rota.
Like if Spiderman regular bad guys don’t like you, they will push you out and let other superheroes deal with you.
I mean seriously being a Spiderman villain is a pretty sweet set up. He even gives goodie bags after you become a regular and he always remembers your birthday/anniversary of your first battle with him.
He’s also super respectful about pronouns and he never leaves your title out of it. (I mean some of them are Doctors! It’s nice to have some recognition.)
When Spiderman starts saying “you are making me late for Date night with my husband!” instead of boyfriend for the first time (about a year after they actually got married but no reason to make it easier to connect him with His real identity), the villain in question completely stops.
“You got married!? Congrats Spidey, hey you know, we were really rooting for you two. Tell you what, I’ll tell the others and we’ll all take a vacation for a week. Take your guy somewhere away from all the madness for a honeymoon.”
And the villains actually do take a break and they are a bit pouty because they would have liked going to the wedding, but Spiderman has been super super careful about not letting them anywhere near the guy, and fair enough, they all have like 10 plans that depend on having his significant other as hostage…
And maybe at least 4 of them are just a kidnap meet and great to make sure this guy is good enough for Spiderman…
