I get so bored doing traditional stuff at the gym. I still bench, lift weights, and do traditional stuff because it is necessary to become super strong but, I just combine it with compound calisthenics and functional training movements. . I’m always trying to break physical boundaries and do things that at first, seem impossible. I’ll admit, this was my 3rd attempt at doing this today and it’s very difficult! You don’t need to be big to be insanely strong. You just need to teach your muscles how to activate properly through motor unit stimulation. A way to do that is to not only activate your muscle fibers but to also challenge your mind to activate more motor units in an exhausted state, stressful and difficult positions. . If you want to be functional and strong like me, stop focusing on trying to make your body adapt to moving more weight. Instead try to fatigue your muscles and then do challenging exercises and extend the time under tension in an environment where you won’t get injured. It’s scary working out when you’re fatigued because you could potentially hurt yourself.. But If you always stay in your safe zone you’ll never progress to the level where you want to be.
