there was a post On Here analyzing the language used when telemachus asked eumaeus who odysseus was because most translations will use the term "father" (or sometimes uncle) but the original term was much more affectionate so telemachus was saying basically like "daddy who is this stranger" about his own father. i think about it a lot 🧍🏽‍♀️
