A few more breaths and she was good to go. Ruby always seemed to manage to fluster her as of late. Still, it felt nice to be able to hang out with someone and maybe actually celebrate her birthday. She hadn’t done so in years. Though when she thought about it, it felt wrong, empty. She missed Mato on these days, but for Ruby, she’d celebrate her own birthday for once. “I didn’t really have anything planned. Did you want anything? Food perhaps?” And now she’s making this about Ruby..
