Don’t you Bad Girls just love the freedom that comes with being an artist? Me tooooo!!! And sometimes I don’t want to create in a journal or on paper. I like...no wait..loveeeee the endless possibilities!!!! Weeeeeee....so with this project that I created with @cliquekits “Bliss” kit I decided to create on a wooden board. #cliquekits has available a paint add on this month that has 3 of my best selling colors and one I used two of them in this project. The background is coated with my #1 best selling color “Kiss and Don’t Tell” and the flourish is painted using “Couture Pink” and my Haute Mess Gesso. I slides the gorgeous metallic silver paint that comes in the kit and then I added Silver leaf to make it pop further. All the papers are from the luscious bad ass kit. Can all my Bad Girls relate to me when I say “my mood dictates my art”...and ya know...seriously...I freaking love that. Why? Because it means that my creativity has no boundaries. Hence why I live by the mantra of no rules in art. I don’t try to stick to one style. I don’t immerse myself in judgement. I don’t try to emulate anyone else. I just create art for the pure joy of the freedom I feel when I lie my soul bare to the endless possibilities with no negative mind chatter to deter me. I’m just gonna say it. I love inspiring people. I love teaching and sure I like when you click the heart...but it doesn’t define me. And that is what sets me free. So tonight I sat here and I had an old photo of me from 1968. Wow. 😳😂...don’t try to add that up...LOL...and I just wanted to have fun. I don’t have a lot of patience. Yes yes yes. I am the impatient artist. Which is why I created my Haute Mess Mixed Media Acrylic Paints to dry with lightning speed. 👏🏻 then I toned them down with my Haute Mess Premium Gesso which is ultra thick. And then mixed media? Hell ya. You name it...I used it here. Because well...that’s what mixed media is. I started on a Haute Mess Vintage Page. Added shapes in paint. Gesso. Stamped the word “She” in my Haute Mess paint “Sweet Candy Kisses” on white canvas. Cut it out and stitched to page. I tried to zoom in so you could see all the goodies I used. Glitter, Tulle, Swarovski crystals, sequins, transparencies, flowers, stick pin, stitching, washi tape. Ya know...it’s pretty simple. I just had fun. And that my girlies is all that counts. It has been years and years since I have been on a Design Team or did a Guest Design spot. Ahhh...the memories I have of when I did! I never thought I would entertain that idea again and when @giaaloha from @cliquekits and I dreamed up this collaboration and decided I would do a Guest Educator spot I had no idea it would bring me so much joy! The “Bliss” kit that I worked with had my name written all over it! I found myself immersed in the creative process and because the kit is chock full of so much goodies I just kept on creating one thing after another. So today I share with you an art journal page I created from our full sized #hautemessartjournal I love repurposing and recycling so I had to use the tissue paper that came in my package. I loveeeee that shade of blue...eeekkkk...so gorgeous! I adore the tin of metallic paints that come in the kit so I splashed those in here and there and then added silver leaf to make it more pronounced. Of course I had to use the pretty little pink Bingo card and for this project a more simple and serene style was calling my name. That’s what I love about art girlies. There’s no rules. I did it girlies...something special...something exciting...something, well...AMAZING!
