I’m taking a bit of time after grading and running Christmas errands to reflect on the super talented students we have at @mcafeeschooloftheology. In my “Creation Theology, Spirituality, and the Arts” class, I asked the students to produce a piece of art that expresses what they learned through their interpretive papers and nature retreat. Jukabiea wrote about God as an improvisational composer in Genesis 1 and shared his own hip-hop interpretation of the passage. He composed, improvised, recorded, and mixed his composition within the 15-20 minute presentation time on the final day of class.
