I wanna tell everyone the CREATIVE conception of Shiori Hina! I’ve always wanted to tell you guys! And who knows? This could inspire everyone to share their concept stories!
Shi was an unintentional discovery. Best surprise ever, really. I was running late for anime club because I was in rehearsal for this chorus concert I was performing later that night that I had to wear a long, black dress for and it had long, black sleeves ((remind you of someone’s cloak??)) and my hair was VERY LONG and VERY RED! It’s still red, just very short now. And I have green eyes. ((Remind you of anyone??))
So I run into anime club and they’re playing the episode of YYH where Hiei and Kurama we’re outside of the DT arena and are fighting the demons who were like, “Y’ALL BETRAYED US BY WORKING FOR KOENMA! EW!”
EVERYONE IS STARING AT ME! JAW DROPPING STARING! AND I AM SOOOO OBLIVIOUS!!
When no one cheered for Hiei and Kurama destroying that robot, I’m like, “What’s everyone staring at?!” And one of my club members said “YOU! YOU LOOK LIKE HIEI AND KURAMA’S LOVECHILD!!” 😂 He later commented that it fits because I’m short like Hiei... turns out we’re the same height as told by the illustration book. Go figure.
The teacher who ran my anime club also ran a DND campaign and said as he held up character sheets, “Kids! We’re gonna make our own characters!” After learning their mothers’ names, I started a never-ending journey on creating my OC, Shiori Hina Minamino. And I’m forever grateful.))
