Bentley, Maltese
This haircut was difficult. It’s not that he was a bad dog, it’s that mom has been very finicky about how she wants him trimmed and I worked on him for about 2 hours. Yes, I noticed his visor looked funny in this picture so I fixed it up but before I could snap another picture, mommy walked into the room and he got too excited. Not to mention he’s uneven and choppy looking because mom wanted the legs as straight as she could make them so badly that she cut him herself at home. She hopes next time he’ll be in better shape for this cut and apologized for the choppiness she had done.
O comb on body, A comb on head, hand scissored his legs to be straight up and down as straight as I could make them. Couldn’t do a cocker skirt like in the reference picture, fur was a bit too short (O comb hardly took anything off the back, they want him long but also short because they don’t wanna see the sun damaged spots on his back) for it to really work well and mom thankfully understood and praised me so so so much with how he looked because she had been coming here for about 2 years after her private groomer retired and I guess I was the only one that really got what she wanted done in the first place.
