SPOILER WARNINGS ^^^^
been wanting to watch
Witch Hat Atelier
anD these videos only want to make me read it more! magic isn't just about a means to a ends, it can be a aid, a way to be yourself and overcome obstacles without washing away your originality. this series is very unique and reminds me of the creativity of older series i liked. it is a very beautiful and well thought out ongoing story and i hope more people like it! warning, some videos do talk (as respectfully as they can)about the good and bad of characters going through: discrimination representation inclusivity disability lgbq+ and the class systems these are not the main focus but are apart of the world building itself.
Just a fast update. I LIVE! STILL WRITING!! Still living my Hazbin brain dreams!! Just popping back in to say hi, hello, and updates coming soon on Alastor backstory stuff.
I'm in a bit of a transitional era right now between jobs so I'm fighting that sadness but I hope you all are doing splendid, and if you have any Alastor-related requests, I still take those!
Salutations, shining stars. Beam bright. 💖

Ideas for artistic/creative witchcraft :
☆ Obviously, making charms/amulets/statues/altar art/vision boards/sigils etc. You can put a lot of intention while doing embroidery, sculpting, beadwork, painting, drawing, knitting, weaving, etc etc. This can put you in a trance, and you can also do this intentionally, guiding yourself with music, breathing exercises, incense, etc. You can dedicate your work to an entity, bless the materials you are using, and of course the end result.
☆ Read poetry during a ritual, something that fits the season, or your intent. You can learn a poem by heart and recite it as an offering, repeat it to raise energy, and recite it later to invoke a specific energy. This also works quite well in a group ritual, when everyone brings a poem for others to discover. It’s a lovely way to sharpen your magic aesthetic and sensibility too. There can be so much power in beautiful words. If you are so inclined, you can also write/improvise your own poetry during a ritual.
☆ Choose a painting (or other piece of art) that resonates with you as a practice starter. You can meditate on it, put a reproduction on your altar, visualize yourself walking into the world of the painting, try to replicate it in your own style, use it in a vision board...Try to figure out what energy emanates from it, and why it speaks to you.
☆ Develop your own musical cues. Use a specific sound at the start of all your magic work to put yourself in the mood (a bell, a clapping of the hands, etc). Figure out specific rhythms and chants you can use to raise energy. Have a few songs/playlists you only listen to while working specific types of magic. If you really work on building those associations repeatedly, after a while, using them will immediately put you in the mood. (It’s like, Pavlov’s dog, but for witches)
☆ Walking through a museum in a trance can be a very interesting experience. That might need a bit of meditation beforehand, and can be helped with breathing exercises and specific music.
☆ Art can be something that replenishes your energy, makes you feel more alive, inspired and nourished on so many levels. Know which things really feed you (personally, for me, that’s well written fantasy/sci-fi books, some types of modern art, discovering female and queer artists, ‘naive’ art, land art, poetry, magical realism, urban art, certain museums and old book stores...)
☆ Leaving artistic traces in your environment can be a great way to connect with it (within the limits of what is safe and doesn’t harm nature) : drawing sigils with chalk, making motifs with stones and leaves, little altars, leaving snippets of poetry and encouraging words for strangers to find, etc.
☆ Making art together is a great way to create cohesiveness within a magic practice group. My first witch circle made an amulet together where we all tied symbols with ribbons to a central wreath. You can also paint something all together, for instance.
☆ Develop little rituals to do right before you start making art/writing/etc. It can be as simple as lighting a candle and asking for inspiration. You can also have charged items to wear while you’re working, like a writer’s shawl or an artist’s necklace…
☆ Organize your rituals to work like a story, with a beginning/status quo, an inciting incident, the discovery of allies, a crisis, a climax, and a resolution.
☆ Paint or draw sigils on your skin, use body art, use magical intention while you put on makeup or clothes.
☆ Pick a short story you’ve never read before but whose theme fits your ritual, and read it within your sacred space/circle as part of your ritual and let yourself be surprised by it ; treat it as a spiritual experience.
☆ Call on the energy of artists/writers/musicians you really admire. Make space for them on your altar, research their lives, use their art in your practice, honor them as your spiritual ancestors.
In my practice, art and witchcraft are very much entwined. It’s about shifting perspective, and making new possibilities tangible. You don’t need to be a pro or an art historian to do these things, I really believe creating is one of the most natural human instincts, and this can bring you so much joy and power.
⭐ Feel free to add your ideas ! ⭐
Digi but he’s an angry shiba plushie. Now I don’t know w h a t brought me to do this, but I did it and you better appreciate it.
Ali’s Notes: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HE’S SO CUTE HOLD ON
THAT ONLY TOOK LIKE HALF AN HOUR AHHHHHH
You’ve just opened my eyes to a whole other world of possible DC plushies, OF COURSE IT’S ADORABLE AND OF COURSE THIS IS AMAZING!! THIS IS THE GREATEST THING I OWN OF COURSE I APPRECIATE IT WHO DO YOU THINK I AM
I am a fanatic of these plushies, I don’t think you quite understand who you’re talking to... Only someone who saves up for half a year and spends it all on these plushies I’m too irresponsible with my money to be taken seriously but I see that you just might be the one to understand how valuable and soft they are
THANK YOU FOR THIS TREASURE. It shall be appreciate and kept in great care.
Uses for a magic spell that stops momentum:
* to save someone falling off a building; they’ll land safely, if abruptly
* as the Adrenaline Junkie Adventure DuJour; jump off buildings on purpose!
* to stop a fight; suddenly swords / fists / beer bottles are just pressed against faces, and nobody is hurt (embarassed though, oh yes)
* in martial arts training; hold nothing back, but hurt no one
* pranks. Friend is hammering nails? No he isn’t. He’s lovingly caressing them with a hammer. Other friend is practicing his golf swing? No he isn’t. He’s staring into the distance with all the confusion of a golden retriever whose owner only pretended to throw the ball.
And when they go after you in irritation, throwing whatever’s at hand? You have the answer to that! Too bad a stopped punch can easily turn into noogies, though. Stand farther away next time.
