Look!  A monkey!  The monkey is surprised.  What surprised the monkey?  Could it be that the monkey just learned that Capuchins are actually really small,and probably not capable of posing a serious/credible threat against a full-grown human, and Alex wanted to have a character in a story get attacked by an evil Capuchin, and now it won’t work and he has to go back to the Monkey bestiary and find something more threatening, like a baboon, and everyone knows baboons are just stupid, so this is really a bigger problem than it sounds, and *ugh* this day just keeps getting--well, yes, theoretically, the monkey could be reacting to that.

The road to beauty has no traction. It is easy. We recognise beauty and we pursue it and it accommodates us.

The road to ugliness is obscured. It is hard. We disassociate with ugly. Generally, we avoid it. It never reveals the secret of its strange allure.

Basically, ugly (poignant) art is really hard to make when you are attempting to do it with a head full of pretty (irrelevant) information.

Learning is fun though.

I might seem a bit strange but not even I sometimes see how marvelous I am. My worlds seem to be clashing into one another: distracting and menacing twins.  It's still nice to meet myself every once in a while. Sometimes I run a little too ahead of myself and it takes some time to catch up. There is the matter of ingenuity and sanity meeting compassion and eagerness. It is evident to me that this does not make sense, as life therefore should not. The shot to my head of spinning images. Spilling out from my brain to my heart at last. I am a pianist as well as a writer. The two combine is such a beautiful harmony.
