Remember I told you I was working on something really cool ! Well, it was a quick design exercise I did for a company who after seeing my resume and portfolio got in touch with me for a possible job offer but not before trying my design skills a little bit further. So very excited project I developed 4 design concepts as detailed as it can be done in a week. I was very proud of the result but didn’t want to get high expectations from this company. Specially because they had already mentioned that they were worried about my lack of “corporate experience” So I did my homework and sent it. Two weeks latter I’m told they liked some of my designs but again I lack of “corporate experience” for that position. It’s hard to prove so many things about your self on a piece of paper with a list of jobs you’ve had and images of projects you’ve made. How can you demonstrate the strength you’ve built after so many rejections? the adaptation skills you gain when you start a new life in a new country? the risks that you are wiling to take to get what you want? Although I didn’t have high expectations to get this job I really wanted it. And a rejections is always hard to cope.
