Hiddlesticks and Embarrassment
I finally had a breakthrough on my characters for the feature length screenplay I have been trying to get out of my head and onto paper for the past two years, almost three. Haven't written it because I have been trying to understand their story's details (I know the broad strokes, the beginning, first hook, second hook, climax and end, but the moments in between needed to be understood).
And Tom Hiddleston in an image suddenly unclogged my creative block and now the characters are telling me EVERYTHING about the story and I know where it is going and what will be happening. The story is so much better than I could have ever imagined and I am so EXCITED. I can't imagine anyone but him as the lead, and that is RARE for me. I usually never think of the famous talented actors who I want to portray my characters, I just think of who the characters are and are they interesting? Is their story interesting or am I forcing something that is not there?
So, naturally, I did the most insane thing I could do.
I tweeted Tom Hiddleston.
Maybe he'll tweet back and agree to be in my WW1 film. Maybe, just maybe, unicorns will vomit rainbows of magic into my life and I will get funding for my film from some recklessly daring studio with hope in young talent (I can't even say that with a straight face). Maybe my film will be a beautiful success and someday the studio, my self, Tom, my lead actress (Anne Hathaway might be grand), and we can tell this story of how production began with fondness.
Or he'll just think I am another batshit crazy fan, which will make things *really* awkward when I try to get him as the lead ....
