Friendly Writer-bud Tip of the Day: Sometimes it can be really challenging to jump right into your story, especially with a blinking cursor bringing to mind the disdainful smirk of a critic waiting to see what you can do. What really helps me is journaling a little bit about why I'm writing this story, what I would like to bring out of this scene, what pictures or words or songs inspired it. It'll remind you why you wanted to write it in the first place and suspend your mind so that before you know it you're actually writing your story.
