Supernatural has spanned 4 presidential elections (2008, 2012, 2016, 2020) and 3 administrations (Bush, Obama, Trump) and never before can I remember a higher up like Eric Kripke stepping in to rule definitively on who Sam and Dean would support.
Usually they let fans sort it out for what the boys mean “to you” and “your version of the characters” and other non-alienating stuff. But this time? Nuh-uh. Sam and Dean free children from cages they don’t put them there. In the wake of a deadly virus they rush to save as many people as possible, even sacrificing themselves if infected. They may charge in guns blazing but the target is never a group of peaceful civilians. And yeah they impersonate cops, but they sure as hell don’t respect law enforcement. Plus Dick Roman was literally a more successful version of Trump and he was a Big Bad.
It’s a big deal that Kripke said this and it’s true. If they weren’t legally dead convicted felons and supposed mass murderers, they would totally vote Biden.
