WS: My first love was music and then when I had an agent and we did a showcase in Dallas. The showcase was music dance and acting. My agent told me to do everything and don’t pigeonhole yourself so I started acting and as they say - I caught the acting bug, Then I started realizing the checks are much bigger in acting, there’s really no age limit in acting so yea I kinda swayed over there. [sic] KM: What’s your favorite thing about acting? What do you hate about it? WS: There’s not as much opportunity for black folks as far as diversity – there’s not as much diversity. That’s the only think I don’t like about it. Otherwise, I love it. I like to become somebody different, I like to play somebody that you normally won’t see me playing. They’ll look at me and be like ‘Oh he can’t play the thug or a rapist’ but I like those characters - that’s a dream of mine, to be a rapist. But if you say I can’t do something I like to prove you wrong. KM: An admirer of your work – what would you want them to know about you? What would shock them? WS: I’ve never been drunk or high a day in my life, I am really laid back person – a homebody. I like @beyonce KM: Do you have any hang-ups about acting? Are you an insecure or a confident actor? WS: It depends on the character. If it’s a character I feel strongly about, I have no worries, no qualms, but if it’s one that I don’t think I can nail, I get nervous. Sometimes you can feel it. If you’re doing a character and it’s not there – you know it’s not there. So that’s the only time I’ll be like ‘Hmm, I don’t know, I don’t know if I can pull this off’ but I won’t give up, I’ll keep trying until I feel I can. If I can’t do it no justice then I don’t want to do it. [sic] KM: But don’t you think that could be a challenge for you to do better?
