CAN I HAVE THE ATTENTION OF THE CLASS FOR ONE SECOND!
As some of you may be aware the world is a bit fucked at the moment. People are struggling. Companies are struggling. Nice companies. Companies like your local comic book shop.
Loads of comic creators are doing something about it and are trying to raise money to help out on twitter using the hashtag #Creators4Comics

Hey guys! It’s with great pride and joy that we announce #aussies4comics. We are a collective of comic book artists and illustrators from all over Australia. Our mission is to raise funds for Australian comic shops that are doing it tough due to the impact of COVID-19. This support will be through a series of daily art auctions that will take place over the next few weeks, and once finalised, we will be splitting the profits evenly between selected brick and mortar comic shops across Australia. This will be a one-off no strings attached lump sum payment. Comic shops are an important part of our community. We’ve watched our peers and fellow creators, led by @jimlee , pour out support for their shops across the United States. Our cousins in Canada have been doing the same for their shops, too. There was no way we could just sit back and not support our local Aussie shops! Without further ado, here is a list of the artists and creators who have donated their time and original art to kick things off: @nicolascottart @tomtaylormade (Tom draws a mean Batman!) Colin Wilson @davidyardin Jon Sommariva @mark_raats @deanrankine Al Barrionuevo @thechamba @loopydavestuff @abelart @waynenichols_artist @mikekrome @mybeautifulmonsters @stewartmckenny We have seen what everyone is cooking up, and this is an art auction event you will not want to miss! Want to help us? Please do! Like and help us signal boost this as well as our auction posts. Help spread the word, and especially dig deep (if you are in the position to do so) in the auctions. The auctions will be open to worldwide bids, so we welcome all our international friends to take part. Are you an artist friend who wants to get involved? Just DM me. The more the merrier. This Sunday, 3rd of May, (Sydney time) we’ll be doing an epic Facebook livestream, where you will be able to ask questions live, hang out, see some behind the scenes art and hear tales of comic shops from most of our featured creators, and perhaps a few special surprise guests. Let's show some love and support for our local comic shops together! Thank you, #Aussies4comics #artistoninstagram #creators4comics #art https://www.instagram.com/p/B_kWBY0AlAS/?igshid=1o85hzdq9plv0
