I now recognise how too much has led me in the past to successive burnouts. A wholehearted journey requires a minimum of thought and design, especially at my age, as the edge grows closer there’s less time for distraction through deliberate loitering for magical chance encounters. The magic happens anyway, and the chaos that ensues, because a map can never replace the experience hidden within a territory.
