I still can't shake off the feeling of regret after what happened at church. I accidentally stepped on a snail with my right foot and heard a cracking sound. Initially, I thought I'd stepped on a cracked eggshell. But as I looked closer, I realized my mistake. To make matters worse, I saw two more snails nearby.
I may feel weird to some, but that's me 😰 - my heart is so soft for animals. As someone who believes in showing compassion and kindness to all living beings, I felt terrible. The commandment 'Thou shalt not kill' resonated deeply with me. I've always tried to live by those words, extending kindness to animals as well.
Remembering the snail's fragile shell and innocent existence, I couldn't help but feel remorse. I vowed to be more mindful and gentle, ensuring no harm comes to these tiny creatures.
This experience reminded me that compassion knows no species. Every life, no matter how small, deserves respect and care.
