"Thorton." Lady Caitlin again. Not with Darach, this time, which honestly surprised the Factory Head. He wasn't used to seeing the, well, princess, he called her, without her entourage. By entourage, of course, he meant Darach. "Lady Caitlin, please, I'm very busy with my latest invention. I'm still refining it, but-" He stopped, abruptly, as he realised Caitlin was leaning over him. "I leave for Unova tomorrow, and you can't look away from your inventions long enough to give me a proper goodbye?" Thorton blinked, tilting his head in confusion. "But Lady Caitlin, we were going to give you a farewell party later today. We were all going to say our goodbyes then. I think Palmer baked a cake." Caitlin rolled her eyes, exasperated, as she leaned in closer to the boy. "I want my going away present from you. Now." And with that, she forcefully planted her lips on his. "Mmmph!" Thorton made a small sound of confusion, but found himself relaxing. Caitlin's psychic power? He didn't know. He didn't really care. He'd always thought Caitlin was quite pretty, he'd just never been bothered to spend much time with her. She was always locked up in the Battle Castle with Darach, and he was always busy with inventions. "And you do this now, before you leave for Unova...forever?" Thorton muttered, quirking an eyebrow as they parted. "Not forever. Only for a little while. I'll visit, naturally. And you'll come visit me." It wasn't a question, it was a statement. Lady Caitlin wasn't used to asking. Only ever demanding, or making assumptions. It had exasperated Thorton, at first, but he'd gotten used to it in time. It was endearing it its own way. "You haven't finished saying goodbye, Thorton." Their lips touched again, the two of them embracing in an affectionate way that neither of them were accustomed to, but they found it quite comfortable nonetheless. "It's not goodbye, Lady Caitlin. It's 'see you later'."
