About 3-4 years ago, my childhood cat Sasha was put down because he was very sick, and we had planned on burying him under his favorite bush. However our vet said that we couldnt do that because of the chemicals used to put him down, we couldnt even cremate him, so they kept his body and probably threw him away or something, Ive been thinking about that, and ive never heard of anyone else being refused their furry family's body. Is this normal? Or am I right in being upset about this?
There might be some municipals where burying pets is not permitted in a homeowner’s backyard, but I would have expected every clinic to be able to offer either group aftercare or individual cremation.
Maybe ask another local clinic whether this is a common thing? Because I wouldn’t have thought so.
