So I stayed up till late last night after work cause I had this inspiration to make big flowers!

I followed 2 tutorials from MASS Art and Craft & HGTV Handmade, on YouTube and learned how to make these two 🌹.

The pink one is from Crepe paper and the two-toned one is from Sugar paper.

I’m really happy with how they turned out, even though they certainly did take some time to make.

At the end I made a few butterflies 🦋 too, for decoration purposes 😁.

I took some photos of them in my studio and noticed how well they match with the colours of one of my paintings in the background and got this thought 💭 of combining abstract paintings🎨 and 3D objects such as Butterflies or Flowers!

So I had this idea to take photos of one of the 🌹 I made two days ago, in different places in my back garden.

I placed the rose in places that you would expect to find flowers and in places that you wouldn’t!

For example hanging from a peg rail, (which was my favourite photo).

I really like the variety of colours of the rose, making a contrast with the grey sky and the cool blue of the wooden cabinets.
