Things had been in a pretty rough patch for me emotionally for awhile, and Uki Violeta's videos are always so wonderful to watch. But fate drew my card a few weeks ago and I managed to catch one of his lives! But even more incredible was the fact that more than once during that live he interacted with my comments in chat. He responded and answered me... something that lit up my entire night and inspired me.
Uki gave words of encouragement, kindness, and love; he gave hope. And hope is in such short supply these days, it's something I felt like I'd given up with all the health issues and things going on with me. But who knew a simple livestream, and then a furry convention a week or so later would impact my life so strongly. There's a fire burning again where ashes rest, a spark and connection given life after what feels like an eternity of grey nothingness. There is a reason why this piece is called Reignition. There is a reason why this piece is called Falls As Midnight... because the darkness has fallen away. Slowly receded to reveal a morning sky full of possibilities and hope that's not fleeting or false.
Just something new and fresh. A beginning again.
