Topi’s Daily Card #1050: Crested Sunmare
As of this writing, there are 24 creatures with the horse creature type, and none of them are totally amazing, except Crested Sunmare here. He’ll give any other horse you run indestructible, and every time you gain life you’ll get a horse at the end of the turn. Seems pretty awesome overall, particularly if you end up cloning him so both of the sunmares protect each other with indestructible. The most likely other horses to run are Nightmare and probably Workhorse, but only Nightmare can be seen a super scary with indestructible. Any deck with tons of life gain will want one, such as Oloro, Ayli, or a good mixture of commanders within mostly the Atraxa colors. It’ll take a little work, but this horse can be a huge finisher if he’s left alone for too long.
Nicol Bolas whom? Here we praise only the horse god
So in case you were wondering, playing this thing is exactly as fun as you think it is.

Indestructible Enrage
I’ve mentioned previously that the main weaknesses of Enrage are being targeted, losing toughness, and being destroyed (Deathtouch, Damage, or Destroy effects). Making your permanents Indestructible is fairly simple. Most methods for it only last until end of turn (See: Boros Charm, Ajani’s Presence, Deathless Angel, Ephemeral Shield, Withstand Death, Archangel Avacyn, or many others). If you want to permanently have Indestructible, you’ll probably be investing a bit more mana.
