What makes you mark a book as DNF? DNF stands for did not finish I’m guessing, like in Nascar and stuff? I guess if it’s just bad or forced, and the protagonist isn’t likeable, last one I didn’t finish is Ready Player One, the supposedly 17 year old kids narrates like an edgy 14 year old atheist redditor who only speaks 80′s memes.
What are your favourite series? I don’t think I have one, I guess I liked Harry Potter as a kid, also young Indiana Jones novels. I read those, Three Investigators or whatever it was called too.
Do you have any favourite animal characters from standalones/series? Animal character? Only one I can think of is Aslan. Also I first thought it said anime character.
Have you ever read a book in one sitting, and if so, what was that book? I read of Mice and Men in one sitting, Old Man and The Sea too.
Which book made you laugh the most? Hmm...not sure. I remember though I almost died laughing when reading On The Road, when Montana Slim tries pissing off the back of the truck but they keep swerving. That was properly funny.
What was the last book you bought? Just today I bought three from Amazon, Filth by Irvine Welsh cause I want to reread it in a physical copy, Martian by Andy Weir, and The Axeman’s Jazz cause it sounds cool and it was 4 quid.
Have you been recommended a book that you ended up not liking? I guess Ready Player One for sure, I can’t remember far back, this is the most recent one.
Who is your favourite protagonist? I don’t know. Patrick Bateman is cool, in a very sick way. He’s brilliantly written, favorite unreliable narrator.
Are there any books or series that you’ve been putting off reading (for whatever reason)? A lot of the classics, just cause of the language and stuff. Infinite Jest though for sure, just the size and the format. For some reason I really want to conquer that mountain of the book, for another I don’t even want to try. Also, The Naked Lunch. I started, saw that it’s just completely impossible to follow what’s going on and quit for now.
Which fictional character is most like you? I wish it was someone cool, but it’s not. I don’t know. Probably some ordinary nerdy guy from a John Green novel, but a side character that’s not pretentious or weird enough. Just a normal bloke.
Have you ever cried after reading a book? No.
I can’t think of tagging anyone, just copy the questions if you want to do this and just tag me so I see it. Whatever suits you, man.
