But with Elijah and his whole ‘erase my whole life’ she would have thought he’d stick around anyway he could even if just by phone. “You’ve got a hell of a way of showing it, Klaus.”

Sometimes it was hard to believe that she was here.  Not only that but that so much time had passed.  To her, it was a blink in time and to the rest --- well, they had been through more than she could wrap her head around at the moment. She never questioned the how (because she was afraid to ask how she found herself alive again) but she did feel as if she had lost time to make up for.

Still, she had hung back at first, especially when it came to Hope.  Her memories involved a little girl with expressive eyes.  Seeing her grown was startling.  Finally, as if she had to work up the courage, Camille found herself in alone with Hope.

“You know,” she began with a sort of faint smile.  “I used to change your diapers.”

Hayley grins at the annoyance coloring her daughter’s tone. She knows she doesn’t mean it, not really. She wraps her arm around the teenager and sighs dramatically. “FINE,” she concedes, “but make sure to get my good side,” she jokes, “I wouldn’t want everyone thinking I’ve let myself go.” When in reality the hybrid never really changes. Sure her hair, her style. But she stills looks every bit the same as the day Hope was born. “You know, Dad wants pictures of you kiddo, not me.” She replies even as she leans her head into her daughter and smiles for the picture.

“So you are the enigmatic Mr. Castle?” After weeks of trying to track him down, she wasn’t sure what she expected.  Certainly not someone so normal looking.  She let a smile slowly cross her face. “You must be a busy man --- or a very private one, I’ve been hounding your assistants for this meeting for nearly a month now.  Lucky for you, I don’t give up easy.”  Especially when she was digging as far as she could into her family history.

“Look, I always promised myself that I wouldn’t be that person...” And by that person she was thinking solely of her mother.  But she was worried and with that worry she found herself willing to break that promise.  After all it was not like she had an abundance of family left.  “...but what the hell were you thinking, Violet?!”

          “ Better of without y—“ Hayley steps back for just a second, placing a hand upon her hip and her other moves to her face using her thumb and index finger to pinch the bridge of her nose. The past seven years had been hard for the them, especially the two of them. Raising Hope this way was a hard pill to swallow and with the recent events Hayley was starting to lose patience; for Hope. She understood her daughters emotions more than most and well, she never wanted Hope to feel any type of emotion she had to harbor during  her youth—          “ Do you know she’s running around, selling her blood for money so she can come and SEE you? ”
