THE ORIGINALS SEASON 5 REWRITE GROUP VERSE | DISCORD ONLY

When her mother told her the story of how she came to be, she started with Always and Forever.

Somewhere along the way of being detached from those that mattered the most, Hope Mikaelson decided it was time for a change. For their family to unite, for her to see her father, for them to be together, for them to be one. So she did what was necessary for her father to return to New Orleans...

...and she succeeded.

Though before she even had a chance to register what was going on around her, other problems arose that resulted in her mother having to sacrifice herself. Hope, knowing that she had been the cause of her mother’s fate because she set her mother in harm’s way, made sure to conjure a better plan to right her wrongs.

Because she had taken the vow too. Family was power and their family picture without Hayley there wasn’t right and the littlest wolf needed her Alpha to pave the way.

She had done what was necessary to get her father back and now it was time to do the same for her mother.

Luring her family into a boundary spell she was able to have everyone in one place, close enough for the Hollow to inhabit her. She knew she couldn’t hold on for too long, having to act fast and fight the Hollow as its power coursed through her veins. She chanted a spell, tricking the Hollow and channelled its power to resurrect her mother and have it trade places, bringing Hayley to the land of the living and trapping the Hollow on the other side.

However, a spell that big was sure to reap consequences, there’s now a tiny crack between the land of the living and the land of the dead

...and her mother isn’t the only one who’s back. 

Old faces, friends and foe alike. 

Can she figure out how to close it before their enemies come back to haunt them or the crack gets big enough for the Hollow to come back through?

Who knows.

She’d be lying if she didn’t admit that he had caught her off guard. For a moment she wondered just how she had found herself in this predicament with him of all people, not that she was complaining at all. Her tongue swept along her bottom lip as his hands wrapped around her neck and added pressure there, taking the air from her lungs. She moaned low as she closed her eyes, smirking at the tingling sensation that came over her —      “That all you got?” She teased, always one to test limits “I thought you said I’d be screaming your name by now.” Hayley choked out.

      The day had been tedious as Klaus worked alongside Marcel in the Quarter. The odd behavior of the witches set the vampires on edge ; more gatherings and clandestine meetings meant ill intent was being planned. Something was coming, that much Klaus knew for sure, but he didn’t know what. The lack of information was driving him mad. With baby Hope returned to the safety of the Abattoir, control over the factions was important now more than ever. As the duo’s work got them no where, Klaus shot a text to Hayley to check in on the compound. The silence that ensued immediately brought forth a sense of dread. Klaus loathed to have things so far out of his control and his predicament only seemed to worsen.

Heading back to his home at once, Klaus was simultaneously relieved and irritated to find Hayley was ensconced in his study. Eyebrows pulled together as he stared her down.  ❝ Now is not the time for such blatant disregard, Hayley. Enemies are gathering their forces as we speak and for all I knew, you and our daughter could been in their very clutches, ❞ he said with a poignant gesture of his hand to help make his point.  ❝ What are you doing in here, anyway ? ❞

“Well, as you can see I’m perfectly fine.”           — It wasn’t that she wasn’t unfamiliar to Klaus’ form of showing concern, no matter how he seemed to not care, he did, in his own quirky way.         It settled her heart knowing the safety of their daughter was a priority. He would always make sure she was safe. “Cresent stuff—“ She motioned to the folders stacked on his desk, “I found them in the Bayou a while ago and thought I’d look them over.” Hayley shrugged after a moment— she’d get back to doing that another time. He would have been met with jabs and something sarcastic and witty on her part if his expression wasn’t laced with a myriad of emotions. He was calculating or unravelling, or both. It was something she noticed about him since she had been a part of whatever always and forever entailed -- even if she was kept close and at arm's length at the very same time. Klaus was impulsive and emotional in his approach and well, Hayley couldn’t always point that flaw out in him as she knew she acted the same way. Perhaps it was the wolves in them, perhaps that was the reason Elijah felt the need to be some kind of makeshift parental figure, even at his ‘tender’ fossil-like age. She smirked at the mental imagery of Klaus getting scolded like a little boy by Elijah, even in her mind it was met with Klaus’ infuriatingly cheeky grin that caused him (for the most part) to get away with all his shenanigans. “What is it?” Hayley asked the question that seemed to be lingering between the two of them, his own question put aside, what she was doing didn’t seem important now she had seen his face;  she figured Klaus wouldn’t care too much about it either. Hayley sighed some, “Have you gotten any closer to figuring this thing out or are you about to send me out to do it for you?”        —Oop, that was cheeky of her, a flurry of a hand gesturing to him. “I can be sequestered here and actually helping at the same time, Klaus.”
